In 1881 he was a boarder at 38, William Street, Swinton, Rotherham. He married (1) Martha Ann Haigh on 19th March 1884 at St Mary Church, Barnsley. After his first wife died he married (2) Alice Sophia Cranidge on 27th October 1890 at Althorpe, Lincolnshire and had four children, Cranidge, Leonard, Gladys Sophia & Percival Dixon. In 1891 they resided at Park Villa, Park Road, Mexborough. The family now resided at White Lee Grove, Swinton between 1901 & 1911. Although he was listed as married he was actually a Widower during these times. Jacob then married his last wife (3) Hannah Greenwood on 3rd February 1913 in All Saints Church, Salterhebble, Halifax, Yorkshire. He was a Coal Pit Labourer in 1871, a Railway Shunter between 1881 & 1891 and a Railway Guard between 1901 & 1911. Jacob died in 1937 in the district of Doncaster. |
