Martha was living on her own with her two daughters in 1851 at Lee Wide, Fulstone, New Mill, Holmfirth where she was listed as a Cloth Manufacturer. In 1861 the family resided at Midhope and at Britannia Hotel, Spring Vale, Penistonein 1871. In 1881 she was a widow and a Licensed Victualler at Spring Vale, Penistone, Martha resided with her daughter Ann in 1891 at Roughbirchworth, Oxspring. Martha died in 1893 in the district of Wortley.
