Thomas married (1) Maria Shaw on 4th November 1822 at Holy Trinity Church, Coventry and had fourteen children, Thomas, Maria, Elizabeth, Ann, Edward, Edward Ellice, Emma, Mary, Stephen, Caroline, George, Robert, Charles & Hannah. In 1841 the family resided at New Buildings, Coventry, Warwickshire but by 1851 he was widowed and resided with some of his children at King William Street, Coventry. He married (2) Ann Maria Poole (nee Cleaver) in 1853 at St Peter Church, Coventry and had another son, Arthur. They resided at 2, Radford Road, Holy Trinity, Coventry in 1861 and in 1871 at 9, Charles Street, Coventry. He was a Millwright and Oattier in 1841 then a Ribbon Dresser between 1851 & 1871. Thomas died in 1879 in Coventry.
