George had a child, William with his future wife before he married Rachel Rayner at St John the Baptist Church, Penistone on 5th January 1835. They had another four children, William, Joseph, Male & Joshua. Between 1841 & 1851 the family resided at Hill Side, Thurlstone, in 1861 at Syke Lane, Thurlstone and was a widower at Syke Bridge, Thurlstone in 1871. He was a Clothier in 1841 and a Woolen Weaver between 1851 & 1871. George died in 1875 in the district of Wortley. |

Between 1841 and 1871 the family resided at Scholes Moor, Wooldale. He was a Woollen Cloth Maker in 1841, a Woollen Weaver in 1851, a Farmer of 12 Acres in 1861 and a Labourer in 1871. George died in 1875 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire and was buried at Holy Trinity Church, Hepworth on 27th December 1875. |

In 1851 the family resided with his mother at Greenhouse, Shelley but after her death continued to live there until at least 1881. In 1851 he was now working the 40 acre farm with his mother, as an Agricultural Labourer but after she died took over the running of the farm and became a Farmer of 40 Acres until he died in 1889. Harriet married David Marsh in 1841 in the district of Wortley and had another seven children, Matthew, Hannah, Emma, Joseph, Isaac, Ann & Sarah A. In 1851 the family resided at Royd, Bradfield, at Bolsterstone, Bradfield in 1861, in 1881 the family resided at Deepcar Village, Bradfield where she was now a widow but in 1891 she was living on her own means at Manchester Road, Deepcar. Harriet died in 1899 in the district of Wortley. |

In 1851 he and his wife were residing at Barkhouse, Shelley with his father & several Nephews and Nieces but between 1861 and 1891 the family were residing at Town End, Shelley. Henry was a Grocer and Draper in 1851 but between 1861 & 1891 had expanded to become a Shopkeeper and Postmaster. He died on 6th September 1894 at Huddersfield, Yorkshire and on 9 September 1894 was buried at Kirkburton, All Hallows. |
