He married Betsy Ann Leach in the District of Hunslet in 1882 and had at least ten children, of which I have only found four so far, Oswald, Ethel, William Owen & Eveline. In 1891 the family were living at 14, Charleston Street, Brightside Bierlow, Sheffield and between 1901 & 1911 at 93, Wincobank Lane, Brightside Bierlow. Alfred was a Blacksmith Striker between 1881 and 1901 and in 1911 was a Blacksmith at the Railway Wagon Works.

She died in 1911 in the District of Barnsley.

The family resided at 13, Upper Lowden, Worsbrough in 1891 and at 11, Upper Lowden, Worsbrough between 1901 & 1911. Emma died on 1st January 1924 and is buried with her husband at St Mary Church, Worsbrough.

After the death of Elizabeth he married (3) Mary Ann Turner in September 1908 in Sheffield, Yorkshire. She was born in 1857. Thomas died in 1918 in Sheffield.
