We will probably never know who his real father is so will assume it is Samuel Berry as he brought him up since he was a young child. He was baptised at St Michael the Archangel, Emley on 26th June 1836. Tom married Hannah Matilda Clarke on 21st February 1859 at St Mary Church, Barnsley. In 1861 the family resided at Cold Lane, Birdwell, at 6, Alma Street, Barnsley in 1881 and between 1891 & 1901 at 4, Wilthorpe, Barnsley. He was an Ironstone Labourer in 1861, a Road Labourer in 1881, a Horse Keeper in 1891 and was living on his own means in 1901. Thomas died on 15th July 1908 in the  Barnsley, Yorkshire.
