We will probably never know who his real father is so will assume it is Samuel Berry as he brought him up since he was a young child. He was baptised at St Michael the Archangel, Emley on 26th June 1836. Tom married Hannah Matilda Clarke on 21st February 1859 at St Mary Church, Barnsley. In 1861 the family resided at Cold Lane, Birdwell, at 6, Alma Street, Barnsley in 1881 and between 1891 & 1901 at 4, Wilthorpe, Barnsley. He was an Ironstone Labourer in 1861, a Road Labourer in 1881, a Horse Keeper in 1891 and was living on his own means in 1901. Thomas died on 15th July 1908 in the  Barnsley, Yorkshire.

Elizabeth married Henry Silverwood on 23rd May 1904 at St Peter Church, Tankersley and had two children, Betty & Sarah Stewart. The family resided at 54, Pilley Yard, Tankersley in 1911. The family emigrated from Liverpool on 12th September 1929 on the ship the S. S. Adriatic arriving at New York, America on 30th September 1929.

Tom was a Coal Miner between 1871 & 1911, a Hurrier in 1871, a Weighman at the Colliery in 1891, a Freeman & Storekeeper at a Colliery in 1901 and a Foreman Over Screening Plant in 1911. Thomas died in 1935 in the district of Barnsley.

Between 1841 & 1851 he resided with his parents and siblings in Dodworth and in 1861 was lodging at 5, Court 3, New Street, Barnsley. Fergus married Mary Elizabeth Armitage on 28th November 1864 at St John the Baptist Church, Dodworth, Barnsley and had ten children, Robert, Mary Elizabeth, Lillian, Annie, Isabella, Flora, Fergus O'Connor, Harriet, George & Adalena. The family were residing at 82, High Street, Dodworth 1871 & 1881, at Higham Common, Barugh, Barnsley in 1891 and at 18, Hermit Terrace, Barugh between 1901 & 1911. He was a Coal Miner between 1861 and 1901. Fergus died in 1924 at Ackworth, Hemsworth, Pontefract, Yorkshire and was buried at St Cuthbert Church, Ackworth on 1st August 1924.
