Thomas married Mary Eliza Austin on 7th April 1890 at St Peter Church, Hoyland. Although they had at least fifteen children by 1911 I have only found twelve so far who are, Jane, John Thomas, Elijah, Bessie, Mary Elizabeth, Emma, Sarah Ann, Janet, Alice May, John Herbert, Clara & William Henry. In 1901 they lived at 39, Milner Street, Hoyland Nether, in 1907 at 17, Barnsley Road, Hoyland and at 58, Saville Street, Dalton, Rotherham, Yorkshire in 1911.
