Father : Unknown Unknown Mother : Unknown Unknown Born : Wallpole Island, Town of Sombra, Canada West (4th March 1861) David married Amanda Melvina Briggs on 3rd july 1861 in Rochelle, Ogle County, Illinois, America and had six children, George Sylvester, Elizabeth A, Ulysses Grant, Martha Melvina, Delcino May & Ida Luella. He was not only an expert farmer but an authority on the raising of blooded horses in which he specialized. He was mustered into the Union Army as a private in Company "I", 15th Illinois Infantry, at Dixon, Illinois, March 3rd, 1865, and mustered out and honorably discharged at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, September 16th, 1865. He saw service in North Carolina, the company making the trip south from New York City, via Cape Hatteras. The Adjutant General's Office of the U. S. War Department in Washington, at the time of his enlistment in the army, described him as follows: Age 24 years; place of birth, Canada; occupation, farmer; eyes, hazel; hair, black; complexion, dark; height, 5 ft. 10 inches. He applied for an invalid's pension on July 25th, 1890 and was awarded $6.00 per month, for partial disability, commencing April 3rd, 1897. On July 3rd, 1900, he married his second wife, Hannah R. Gibson, in Benton County, Ark. David died on 13th October 1902 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, America of a paralytic stroke and is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs. His widow applying for a pension on December 11th, 1902. The pension was granted at $8.00 per month and then increased to $30.00 per month, the last payment being made on April 4th, 1923. The Anderson graves are marked by a monument in a cemetery in or near Siloam Springs, Arkansas. | Memorial | |

Sketchy records also suggest she married a man by the name of Whitmarsh. She further must have married a man by the name of Cramer as her headstone reads Miriam Briggs Cramer. In September 2005, Steve & Becky Briggs walked the South Paw Paw Cemetery. The far left row of the cemetery contained a headstone with the name "Miriam Briggs Cramer". No other Briggs or Cramer headstones could be found in the cemetery. As of this date, no marriage to a Cramer has been discovered. | ||

Charles married Margaret Ann Worthington on 21st July 1884 at St John Church, Pemberton, Wigan and had six children, Walter, Alice, Lillian, Henry, Joseph & John William. He was back to his old tricks and on 25th August 1884 at Liverpool he was convicted of Larcency before felony and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment. In 1891 the family resided at Beckbury, North Beckbury, Barnard, Durham. It looks like his prison detention never reformed as on 4th April 1892 he was sentenced at The Shire Hall, Durham to 6 months imprisonment for simple Larceny. The family were living at 26a, Back Peel Street, Ince in Makerfield in 1901 and in 1911 at 59, South Street, Crossgate, Durham.
