Sketchy records also suggest she married a man by the name of Whitmarsh. She further must have married a man by the name of Cramer as her headstone reads Miriam Briggs Cramer. In September 2005, Steve & Becky Briggs walked the South Paw Paw Cemetery. The far left row of the cemetery contained a headstone with the name "Miriam Briggs Cramer". No other Briggs or Cramer headstones could be found in the cemetery. As of this date, no marriage to a Cramer has been discovered.
