In 1861 she was a Cotton Slop Worker. Caroline died in 1884 in Barnsley and was buried at All Saints Church, Darton on 7th December 1884.

Charles married Mary Garside in 1857 in the District of Huddersfield and had six children, Thomas, Benjamin, Frederick, Alfred, George & Emma. The family resided at Smiths Farm, Gawber Heights, Barugh, Barnsley in 1861, at 8, Pogmoor, Barnsley in 1871 and in 1881 at 47, Harbro Hill Road, Barnsley. He was a Farm Servant (Hind) between 1851 & 1861, a Labourer in 1871 and a Lime Merchant in 1881. Charles died in 1887 in Barnsley.

George married Lydia Allott in 1847 in the District of Huddersfield and had thirteen children, Harriet, Maria, Emma, Jane, Ann, John Richard, Arthur, Joseph, Elizabeth A, Alice, Janet, Walter & Agnes. The family resided at Yew Tree, Shepley, Huddersfield between 1851 & 1861, at West Royd, Shepley, Huddersfield between 1871 & 1881 and in 1891 at 8, Thornecliffe, Kirkburton. He was a Farmer between 1851 & 1891 with 20 Acres of Land, 19 Acres and 23 Acres respectively. George died in 1900 in Huddersfield.

Harriet was baptised on 25th December 1817 at All Saints Church, Silkstone with Stainborough. She resided with her parents and siblings in 1841 at Upper Norcroft, Cawthorne, Barnsley. Harriet married Charles Garrity in St George Church, Barnsley on 27th November 1843 and had two children, James & Harriet.

Nb: At the time of the 1851 census Barnsley contained the greatest concentration of domestic linen weaving in Yorkshire, with over 4,000 handlooms located in the town in nearly 800 loomshops. Although these loomshops were distributed throughout the town, the greatest concentration lay between the bottom end of New Street in the north, Wood Street in the south, Silver Street in the west and Duke Street in the east, that is, the area known as the ‘Barebones’, with extensions eastwards along Copper Street and Union Street to Sheffield Road and beyond to Taylor Row, King Street and Rodney Row.

In 1851 they resided at Wooldale Town, Wooldale, Kirkburton, at Dean Bridge, Fulstone, Kirkburton in 1861, in 1871 at Upper Waterside, Cartworth, Kirkburton, at Lodge Fold, Skelmanthorpe in 1881 and between 1891 & 1901 at Farm House, Lodge Street, Skelmanthorpe. He was a Clothier in 1851, a Woollen Power Loom Weaver in 1861, Farming 22 Acres of Land in 1871 and 55 Acres in 1881 and was still a Farmer between 1891 & 1901.

John was an Agricultural Labourer in 1851 and between 1861 & 1891 was a Farmer of 11 Acres and 18 Acres respectively. He died in 1891 in Barnsley.

In 1861 the family resided at Steps, South Crosland, Huddersfield, at Birchen Cliffe, Lindley, Huddersfield in 1871 and in 1881 at 55, Halpen Road, Lindley, Huddersfield. He was a Labourer in 1851, a Labourer in a Woollen Mill in 1861 and was an Inn Keeper between 1871 & 1881. Martin died in 1887 in the District of Huddersfield.

In 1863 he married Sarah Ann Moakson in the Orley District and had eight children, Sarah Jane, Ann L, Richard, Thomas Herbert, Charles William, John Moakson, Emily Nora G & Alfred Ellis P. The family resided at Lidget Lane, Lindley, Huddersfield in 1871 and between 1881 & 1901 at 83 85, Lidget Street, Lindley, Huddersfield. He was a Book Keeper in 1861, a Shop Keeper & Postmaster in 1871 and in 1881 was listed as a Grocer and Draper but back as a Shop Keeper between 1891 & 1901. Thomas died in 1910 in the District of Huddersfield.

In 1841 they resided at Woolley, Silkstone, at 108, Silkstone, Barnsley in 1851, at 112, Silkstone, Barnsley in 1861, in 1871 at King William Inn, Scartworth, East Retford, Nottinghamshire but was a Widower back in Barnsley in 1881 at 10, Snow Hill, Dodworth, Barnsley and in 1891 at 10, Leighs House Farm, Stainborough Road, Dodworth. He was an Agricultural Labourer between 1841 & 1851 and was also a Pig Dealer in 1851, in 1861 he was a Cattle Dealer but by 1871 had become an Inn Keeper and Farmer of 68 Acres before going back to Cattle and Pig Dealing between 1881 & 1891. William died in 1900 in Barnsley.
