George married Elizabeth Mary Watson on 4th January 1920 and had three children, George James, Leonard Cecil & James Watson. In 1939 the family resided at 18, Dagman Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire although he was away at the Green Dragon Inn, Shrewsbury, Shropshire assuming with work. He was a College Bursar's Clerk & O T C Instructor in 1939. After the war in 1919 he was a Storeman at Cheltenham College, OTC Instructor on 4th January 1920 was a Gymnasium Instructor, in 1924 he was an Assistant Librarian (Acting Head Porter 1939-1941), on 18th December 1945 was an Assistant Librarian at Cheltenham Ladies College and in 1948 was a Jobbing Gardener. George died on 16th December 1954 in Cheltenham. |
