He was a Coal Miner Hewer between 1871 and 1911. Thomas died in 1944 in Barnsley. |

In 1911 she was residing at 41, Gatton Road St, Werburghs, Bristol, Gloucestershire with her future husband but was listed as his Step Daughter! Violet married Charles Vowles on 10th June 1912 and had two children, Dorothy Linda May ;& Kenneth Charles. She died during the Flu epidemic on 16th December 1918 at 42, Gatton Road, Bristol, but was ill for only a week and was buried at Greenbank Cemetery, Bristol. Her husband who had just returned to France from leave, had to be recalled after his return. She worked as a nurse at Beaufort War Hospital. |

Robert was a Coal Miner in 1871, a Wire Rope Examiner Repairer between 1881 & 1901 but was a Hotel Manager for Mr N J Hoyland in 1911. The family resided at the Thornley Arms Inn, Dodworth when he died on 30th March 1912 and on 2nd April 1912 was buried at St John Church, Dodworth. Robert left his estate, £149, to his widow, Agnes. |
