In 1911 they were both living at 25, John Edward Street, Barnsley and stated that they had been married for one year but in reality didn't marry for another 2 years. Between 1939 & 1950 the family resided at 75, Harold Avenue, Lundwood, Barnsley. He was listed in the 1901 Census as a Labourer Wood Box Shop - Packing, between 1911 & 1913 was a Wood Working Machinist and was a Fitters Labourer in 1939. Walter died aged 73 in 1956 at 80, Gawber Road, Barnsley and was buried on 15th September 1956 at Barnsley Cemetery.
