Abraham and his wife resided with her parents and his cousin at Shevington in 1871. He then married (2) Mary Jane Comber in 1873 in the district of Wigan. They had at nine children, seven of whom are, William, George, Ann, Joseph, Lilian, Abraham & Minnie. In 1881 the family resided at 508, Ormskirk Road, Pemberton , at 61, Wigan Lane, Atherton in 1891, in 1901 at 61 & 63, Wigan Road, Atherton and in 1911 at 209, Wigan Road, Atherton. He was a Coal Miner between 1861 & 1891 and between 1901 & 1911 was a Music Dealer in Books. |

Ann died in Bolton in 1905. |

He was a Coal Miner in 1881, a Weigh Man of Coal in 1891 and between 1901 & 1911 was a Caretaker of a School and Chapel. Sadly he died in 1947 at Southport. |

They emigrated to New Jersey in 1884, except Annie, and returned sometime between 1891 and 1901 although Ellen was now a Widow so William must have died at some point in America. The 1890 census returns for New Jersey were destroyed in a fire so I cannot confirm the exact details. He was a Scholar in 1861 and a Coal Miner between 1871 & 1901. Bill died on 4th December 1908 at Second Street, New Houses, Wheatley Hill, Durham. |
